Thursday, October 15, 2009: Tornado Time Trial
- 6 miles. 800' of climbing.
- This course is located at Brevard College.
- This stage will count in the overall Stage Race Standings. It primarily serves to select a Leader’s Jersey for the top Pro/Elite riders. No stage win money will be awarded for the time trial.
*Stage 1-3 start/finish at the grassy field at the Black Mountain Trailhead. Stages 1&3 will begin with a 1.5 mile controlled start on Highway 276. Stage 2 will begin with a controlled start on Hwy 276 onto Hwy 280 to Turkey Pen Road. Each stage will end with the same 2.5 mile section of trail (Black Mountain) to the start/finish area. This section of Black Mountain trail is singletrack and all rideable. It first climbs 250' to the peak, then drops 1,500' in the last two miles to the finish.
Friday, October 16, 2009: White Squirrel Loop
- 37 miles. 9,000+ ft of elevation gain.
- Classic Pisgah singletrack! Squirrel Gap is a continuous 1.5 ft wide singletrack trail hinged to the mountainside for miles. This day packs over 22 miles of singletrack.
- Cutoff Times: Rest Stop 1 (mile 7) - 10AM; Rest Stop 2 (mile 22) -
2PM;
Rest Stop 3 (mile 32) - 4PM.


Saturday, October 17, 2009: Land of the Waterfalls Loop
- 41 miles. 9,500+ ft of elevation gain.
- From the low cool streams to the high elevation timber forest, this loop has it all. Laurel Mountain trail is a local favorite. True singletrack. You will get a chance to cool your feet down a bit on Bradley Creek Trail and test your skills with over 20 miles of singletrack.
- Cutoff Times: Rest Stop 1 (mile 15) - 11:30AM; Rest Stop 2 (mile 26)
- 3PM; Rest Stop 3 (mile 35) - 5PM.


Sunday, October 18, 2009: The Transylvania Loop
- 47 miles. 12,000+ ft of elevation gain.
- Over 16 miles of singletrack. Farlow Gap and Black Mountain trails offer a true taste of Pisgah’s gnarly singletrack. These trails are among the hardest trails open to mountain bikes in the Pisgah National Forest.
- Cutoff Times: Rest Stop 1 (mile 11) - 10AM; Rest Stop 2 (mile 18) -
12PM; Rest Stop 3 (mile 32) - 3PM; Rest Stop 4 (mile 41) - 5PM.
